Traditional Services
Wesley has 3 traditional services each Sunday: 8:30, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. Our 8:30 traditional service is usually a bit shorter and more intimate than the other two services. At all 3 times, we focus on liturgy, hymns and observing the traditions of the church. Our Celebration Choir and occasionally the orchestra participate in the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services. We invite everyone to come as they are to Wesley, but you can probably expect to find slightly dressier clothing in our traditional services, from business casual to suits and anything in between.
Contemporary Services
We also have 2 contemporary services each week: 9:30 and 11:05 a.m. The 9:30 service is a very blended style: we sing hymns, older praise songs and even a few modern choruses. The 11:05 service is a more modern style of service. We don't often use liturgy and you won't find the choir in the Contemporary services! These times of worship are also much more casual; think jeans or whatever makes you comfortable!
Wesley West Service
Our West Campus offers a single contemporary service at 10:30am at Greenbrier Elementary School. This service is casual, modern and engaging. Wesley West is all about making a place for you to connect with God and a real community.
Our Pastors
We have two pastors who share the responsibilities of preaching at Wesley. Greg Porterfield, our senior pastor, and David Blackwood, our associate pastor. We enjoy a unique preaching schedule here: Each pastor preaches for 3 weeks and then switches to a different style of service for the next 3 weeks. Some people choose to follow a pastor from week to week, while others choose to worship in the same style of service each week. We encourage you to try different services and find the time, style or pastor that best fits you and your family's needs.
