Connections & hospitality

Let's be a church body thriving on connection! Hospitality is an important and busy ministry in the life of our church, and we need your help.  Approximately 30 volunteers help make Sunday mornings a meaningful experience for our church members and guests.  We hope that you will prayerfully consider serving in this way.

Please email if any of the ministries below are an opportunity you will consider this year.

  • Traditional usher

Along with regular duties, ushers at our traditional services make it their goal to greet people warmly, exhibiting the Godly spirit of hospitality that says we are pleased you are here and we are ready to meet your needs.

  • Greeter

Greeters are assigned to specific entryways in the traditional, contemporary and children's wing areas. They wear name tags and open the doors to greet people as they enter and exit the building, making all feel comfortable and welcome here at Wesley Church.

Greeters are in place by 9:15 and again at 10:45

  • Contemporary usher

In addition to regular duties and greeting people warmly with the same spirit of hospitality mentioned in the traditional description, contemporary service ushers should also be prepared to assist people in finding a seat once worship has begun as the lighting is low. 9:30 / 11:05 services
