  • pastor's bible study

Join Rev. Scott Harris in a study that explores how the Lord's Prayer sums up what Jesus was all about in his first-century setting. The book's author locates the Lord's Prayer, clause by clause, within the historical life and work of Jesus and allows the prayer's devotional application to grow out of its historical context. The result is a fresh understanding of Christian spirituality and the life of prayer. This deeply devotional book will refresh and stimulate the heart and mind. Book are $10 and available August 21. Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00pm, Contemporary Worship SpaceBegins August 28.

  • Leadership

Leadership does not come from your title. In fact, being named to a position is only the first and lowest of the five levels every effective leader achieves. To become more than a person people are required to follow, you must master the ability to inspire and build a team that produces not only results, but also future leaders. Join Greg in a study that prepares you for your position of leadership within Wesley and also aides you in becoming the leader God intends for you to be outside the walls of the church. Everyone in a position of leadership at Wesley is encouraged to join this 6-week class. Led by Rev. Greg Porterfield. Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00pm, room 22. Begins August 28.

You can parent well and build a stronger relationship even through the teen years. Join this group of moms as we support each other and explore how we can bring our best to the table through parenting in a way that is a reflection of our Heavenly Father. • reconciling conversations

For those in the LGBTQ+ community, church has not always been an inviting place. We are offering a place to talk through the struggles of life and faith, both for those in this community and for their friends and family. Theology is based on lived experience. In sharing their own journey and inviting others to share theirs in conversation, Scott Oswald and his mom Karen graciously welcome those who have questions about reconciling their faith and LGBTQ+ affirmation. Led by Scott and Karen Oswald. Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm, room 26. Begins August 28.
