access Ministry

Creating access.  Building belonging.
The mission of Access Ministry is to provide meaningful accommodations so that children, youth, adults, caregivers, and families of all abilities can fully participate in the life of the church.  We partner with individuals and families to create welcoming, supportive environments where everyone is valued, included, and able to belong.

We envision a church where differences are honored and all people are empowered to participate fully in the body of Christ.

Adaptive Service

Once a month in the Celebration Space

We believe that all people deserve to hear the word of God and the message of God's love and grace but acknowledge that there are people who are unable to attend our existing worship services for various reasons. This service is designed for all people, regardless of age, background, or physical, cognitive, or emotional ability. The service has all the elements of our other worship services, but is shorter and adapted to the needs of those participating.

SUNDAY SCHOOL BUDDIES

We currently have nine volunteers serving as buddies during Wesley Kidz Sunday School hours. If you would like to serve as a buddy, please contact Lauren Fackler or click the button below.

Universal changing table

There is now a universal changing table available in the lefthand restroom located on the hallway between our modern & traditional worship spaces.

Sensory classroom

There is now a dedicated room on the kids hall for children with special needs who either need a self-contained classroom or a space to take a break when they need it.

seasonal events

So far we have been able to offer a low sensory trick-or-treat event and an adaptive Christmas Eve Service. We look forward in 2026 to an Adaptive Easter service and more sensory friendly experiences!
