CARE

Wesley Church is known for our variety of outreach opportunities.

We believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus, right here in our community, as well as in foreign missions.

congregational care

Congregational Care provides care and support to members and friends of Wesley UMC. This important ministry also provides rewarding opportunities for people to personally serve others. Some of these opportunities include Wesley Cares small group, Meal Ministry, Flower Ministry, Prayer Card Ministry, and Prayer Shawl Ministry. We also offer other support through pastoral counseling and Grief Support Group.

Special Needs Ministry

Support for parents and caregivers of children with special needs. Ongoing initiative to better care for these families. Augusta Autism and Disability Support Group meets at Wesley every other Thursday at 6pm. First meeting is September 14.

Wesley cares

Wesley Cares exists to be the hands and feet of Christ by caring for members who are not able to get out and about as easily, those who have ongoing medical concerns, or anyone who just needs a little extra care. We provide home visitation, phone calls, monthly and birthday cards, caroling, transportation to doctor appointments, the monthly caregiver newsletter, breaks for caregivers and blanket deliveries to those who need extra love. We meet on first Thursdays at 10am for fellowship, occasional potlucks and updates on care concerns.

divorce care

Join us Sundays at 6pm to gather for wisdom, counsel and healing. DivorceCare is a weekly seminar/support group that will help you heal from the hurt. It's a warm, caring environment led by people who understand what you are going through.
